What is a PET/CT Scan?

PET stands for Positron Emission Tomography. PET is a test that uses special cameras and radioactive glucose to produce pictures of the function and metabolism of some certain types of cells in the body. This is an especially useful tool for the staging and treatment planning of oncology patients.

Using our new PET/CT fusion machine, we can image small and hard to image tumors that other exams may not detect, which will aid your physician in obtaining an early and accurate diagnosis.
